What is Flyght Junior Academy

Flyght Junior Academy is a year-round, multi-sport youth development academy that introduces K-2 athletes to different sports while building the foundation they need for future athletic development. Instead of signing up for different organizations throughout the year, families can have one pathway forward. We want children to move, play, think, belong, and grow while discovering the sports and activities they enjoy.

  • FITNESS & ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT
    October 10 – November 14
    Wednesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM

    Athletes build foundational movement skills including running, jumping, balance, coordination, agility, throwing, catching, and body control.

  • December 5 – January 23
    Practice: Wednesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM
    Games: Saturdays | 9:30–10:30 AM

    Athletes learn basketball fundamentals through skill development, small-sided games, and age-appropriate competition.

  • February 15 – March 26
    Wednesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM

    Continued movement, coordination and athletic development.

  • April 12 – May 22
    Practice: Wednesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM
    Games: Saturdays | 9:30–10:30 AM

    Athletes develop coordination, ball control, spatial awareness, communication, teamwork and decision-making.

  • June 14 – July 24
    Practice: Wednesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM
    Games: Saturdays | 9:30–10:30 AM

    Families select Flag Football OR Volleyball.
    Athletes continue developing sport-specific skills while applying the movement, teamwork and confidence developed throughout the year.

Junior Academy Select

Beginning primarily in 2nd grade, some athletes may be invited to participate in additional competitive opportunities.
Select opportunities are based on: Developmental Readiness + Commitment Readiness.
Athletes may be evaluated for additional competition in basketball, soccer, flag football, or volleyball.
Select is not a separate academy and is not something families can purchase their way into. Athletes remain members of Junior Academy while receiving an additional competitive opportunity when developmentally appropriate.
Additional Select Team fees may apply.

Families enroll in Flyght Junior Academy, rather than registering for a completely separate organization every season. Junior Academy families receive:

    $555/year when paid in full

    $55/month for 12 months.
